raisIt's hard to believe in just over 24 hours, our crew of ten curlers will hit the ice for the journey towards setting a new world record for the longest curling game ever played. At 9:15:00AM Thursday Sept. 28th, the group of ten will throw their first rock and continue doing so until 6:00pm Monday October 2nd for a total of 105-hours. We are excited, nervous (a good nervous), and just can't wait to begin this adventure, and not only bring this record home to Canada, but help raise funds and awareness for Radio For Cardiology: an initiative to bring cardiac care closer to the Simcoe County & Muskoka area.
There are many ways to become involved with our event, even if you aren't close to Coldwater Ont.
If you are close to Coldwater Ont. and would like to come out to watch, please do! There are some other fun activities that will be going on during the event to come and check out as well including:
This crazy journey is not possible without all of our incredible sponsors including: Hardline Curling, Hack To Hack Solutions Inc., Curlers Corner Alberta, IceHalo. Asham, Sleeman, Curling Zone, Tim Hortons, Rocks And Rings, Home Building Centre Gravenhurst, For Position Only, and Fuzion Sportswear. Follow along and cheer us on as we bring this world record back home!

We've still got a few more witness shifts available for you to be a part of! Come out and witness a four hour shift, and receive a free t-shirt for your time! If you'd like a spot send us an email at [email protected] and let us know what time works best for you!
There's also some other chances to volunteer! We're looking for Kitchen Help/Stewards to volunteer during the event as well. For this role, you don't have to record anything, you can simply help out around the club with raffle ticket sales, kitchen prep, and other small tasks around the club. You can do as many of these shifts as you like! If this is something you are interested in, please send us an email at [email protected] with your name and the time you are available to help out!

We're still looking for some great witnesses to volunteer for Rocks For Heart! If you are able to volunteer for any of these four hour shifts, please send us an email at [email protected] to sign up. Every witness will receive an event t-shirt for volunteering your time! We look forward to seeing you there!!
In 17 days, Rocks For Heart will hit the ice and take on a once-in-a lifetime journey to breaking the world record for the longest curling game played. The 105-hour feat will not be easy, but the curlers are excited and ready to get this journey started. For four of our ten curlers, it will be their third record go at breaking this record, two of our curlers will be taking their second attempt at this, and we are excited to have four new curlers who will be joining us on this ride. Over and above our previous and current record attempts, we have worked hand in hand with two local radio stations to support their charitable campaigns. In the past, Larche Communications Inc. (104.1 The Dock and KICX 106) has completed two very worthwhile campaigns supporting our local hospital and their cancer wing. This time around we have again partnered with Larche Communications and their latest campaign Radio For Cardiology: a $1,000,000.00 initiative to bring cardiac care closer to the Simcoe County & Muskoka area. By building this cardiac catheterization lab at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre patients in need of lifesaving cardiac care will be able to receive that treatment closer to home. Right now, some people in the Simcoe County & Muskoka area live outside of the gold standard of cardiac care (90 minutes to receive treatment after a heart attack), and our area is currently the only region in the province without these advanced cardiac care services. At the end of our journey, we will have curled 105-hours. We will be a little tired and a little sore but in the end, what matters the most is that we were able to raise as much money and awareness/support for this incredible cause and do our part to help bring cardiac care closer to home. If you would like to donate to our event for Radio For Cardiology, please follow this link: http://rocksforheart.kintera.org To learn more about Radio For Cardiology, please watch this short YouTube video: We're still looking for some great witnesses to volunteer for Rocks For Heart! We look forward to seeing you there!!
